We wont be able to do anything until our government stop cowering under the US. The UN was to put sanctions on Israel many times but each and every time only the USA said they did not support it. 14 council members said yes, one said no, the no wins. Where is the democracy in that?!
Until the UN stops barking and starts biting, Israel will continue it's genocide, yes it is a genocide! They want Palestinians out one way or dead!

@AmrTheUndertaker Sorry to disappoint but I am English. Most americans, not all, are brainwashed by the corporate media, they are lied to, the truth hid from them, you cannot count on the US to defend the weak and defenceless, only prey on them and squeeze every last cent the weak can give them!
The USA is the biggest obstacle to global peace, cos the USA profits from war death and suffering!

Don't you have your own country? Israel is very small, why do countries much LARGER than Israel want to control. No one tell China, European, India & all other countries or America what to do. You can't FORCE people to live according to your culture or religious views...All Nations have their own policy, culture & God...Israel will remain Jewish. Or Where do you suggest they move to Africa..India..France.Canada, America? Iran & other Middle Eastern nations are HUGE..why LIVE in Israel?

@sALAmeister we tried that already. We gave Gaza back to the Palestinians and in return Hamas was voted into power by the " moderate & rational majority " of Palestinians and southern Israel was bombarded with literally thousands of katyusha rockets and our soldiers kidnapped and held in captivity for 5 years. Thus a siege was placed and one of the things limited to Gaza is steel so they cannot produce more katyusha rockets. makes sense to me.

@tytuv Every human has the right to life- Israelis and Palestinians included. I do not support the violent acts of Hamas against innocent Israelis in the same way that I do not support the Israeli government's collective punishment on the citizens of Gaza (quoted from foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman). If Israel wants to protect itself then allow the moderate, rational, and majority of Palestinians to live as international law mandates- and they will get rid of Hamas with their own hands.
-
@sALAmeister Do you believe that Israelis have a right to defend itself? Do you believe that Hamas is a direct threat to the lives of Israelis? if the answer is no to one of the above question I am wasting my time trying to teach someone to be humane. On the other hand if you you answered yes then you would obviously understand why Israel is forced to stop arms being provided to Hamas. so once again this flottila is supporting Hamas. It's simple math!
-
@tytuv The flotillas are very clear that their aim is to break the blockade- a symbolic gesture if anything. The capacity of these boats cannot hold humanitarian aid that will save the Gazans- therefore what is on the ships (besides no weapons) is very much irrelevant. They want to show Israel/the world that this blockade is not accepted by the international community. Passengers on the flotilla are willing to risk their lives to deliver no other than letters of solidarity to the Palestinians.
-
@sALAmeister but these people are not interested in sending medication or food - all they are interested in is breaking the blockade - take the American boat for example, they are using a HUGE amount of resources to sail across the world to deliver letters. If they really cared they would send food and medication via the channels that are available and working. the last flotilla bought expired medication, and above that Israel offers to deliver humanitarian aid after it has been checked.
i dont understand, if noone is allowed in or out, why are the people in the picture lining up?

@antikrysto Israel's restrictions on movement of Gazans vary. In addition to complete closures that range between few days and 2 weeks (including during Jewish holidays), various regimes exist such as ban on travel for people with ages below 16 and 65, ban on travel of all men, ban on travel of students, ban on travel of patients..etc. The borders do open, but only for short periods of time, which do not meet the needs of the large number of travellers.
