@Johnlindsey289 Cameron is a far, far better director then Emmerich any day! Though I thought Avitar was hugely over rated and didn't appreciate the totally unnecessary PC crap that Cameron felt the need to throw in, but he has a history of innovation starting with "The Terminator" with a pretty low budget. Emmerich couldn't make anything decent with a low budget to save his life. M. Bay, is a much better action director then Roland, but PC butt-boy Roland is usually given the better projects.

The difference between excellence and crap is simply: give a script and certain budget to a director like Ridley Scott, then give the same exact script and budget to Roland Emmerich and you will see the difference between excellence and crap!

Hollywood keeps giving this lousy director huge budget contracts only because he's so good at throwing in a tone of preachy white-guilt saturated PC bullshit into his films and Hollywood lives for that crap these days! Oh ya, he's good at SFX too...wow!

Haven't we all learned by now? Emmerich and is erstwhile partner, Devlin, can't make movies that anyone with a brain larger than the size of a rabbit turd can appreciate. We've all gone through the abyssmal letdowns of the turdfests like Godzilla, Stargate, or Independence Day. Movies where lack of storytelling and directing talent was cleverly covered up by a bloated effects budget. May Emmerich never direct again.
