@postmasterw00t you probably know what I'm going to say, that many of us will stop 'moaning' when the people who do think they can prove this god stop poisoning society.
@johhnycarlos our brains can imagine some supernatural entity that, in theory, fits the gap. Knowing that just because we can fathom something does not make it true.. sincerely ask yourself: Does an eternal god really make more sense to you than the unknown of a beginning? How did that god come into existence.. erase from your mind "he just can" or "he was always here," and then answer in your head. I'm very sincere here. If you have anything to say, I'll see it in the morning. Peace out.
@johhnycarlos the very nano nano nano second it happened. The big bang theory hasn't even been around that long, about 90 years. Perhaps there is a deist god that created everything.. but physicists don't say that it does, there's plenty of theories on it. A hurdle to get over is that the only two options are not "dunno" and "god." There's so many possibilities. Things we can't even think of.. just like with the moldy bread. Lastly, let's get past the cop out that a god did it just because
@johhnycarlos In summation of everything I've had to say on the matter of pre big bang.. this is what I think: Science seems to be the best tool our minds can create for identifying truth. It works. It's been tested. It's given us cellphones and let us live past 30 and skyscrapers and bridges and cultivated the food we love. It's made bananas and most fruits edible to human beings. We are currently applying that science to pre big bang. They are getting closer and closer to
@johhnycarlos in the very least I thank you for not coming off as such an asshole as you previously had. And for the record, I have put myself in a theist shoes many.. many a time. I can only explain so much. Look up an article called "What came before the big bang" on fortunecity . co m website. Start at i"n fact, space on its own and time on its own are no longer properly valid concepts. and end on Such are the oddities of quantum physics"
@johhnycarlos many other universes before us (like the colliding universe theory), and it just so happened this universe's laws are the ones that can harbor life. I truthfully cannot understand half the shit these physicists say.. so I question everything and be skeptical. I mean.. we don't even know exactly why we have to sleep yet, yet none of us ever really question that.. we just take it that there's a scientific reason and move on. We trust people who are smarter than us.
@johhnycarlos Some of the theories say it was not random, so please don't use that word so readily. But I like this explanation about gravity and the laws, etc. I heard an interesting thought about how the way our particular universe is set up.. (with the laws and the atomic forces only needing a .001 difference for our universe to be totally different and all that).. is that this is happens to just be the only way a universe can actually support life, and that there have possibly been
