Make that triple meet with extra chili, as it's an August summer day!

UP 9479 Eastbound meets UP 7476 Westbound, which meets both ATSF 847 and 7414 Eastbound. On the 7414, watch the engineer leave the cab and go out on the catwalk. And is that both a GP-30 and a CF-7 as motive power units?

  • Very nice clip! Jugging by the abundance of second gen power and standard cabs, I would have said this clip was several years old. When was it taken?

  • @coxsj The footage was originally shot on August 21, 1993. But I edited this movie this August. So it's been eighteen years.

  • Im from Ireland and stayed in Barstow for the first time in January and i was kept awake all night by the contant squeaking of train brakes.

  • ATSF 7414, that is the train with the best mix of Motive Power.
