Idk if you guys knew, but the time of Jesus wasn't the beginning of man. Many great teachers were similar to Jesus in that they were enlightened/blessed so much that nothing could make them fall, spiritually. That's not common in today's world. Main point: you ought to expand your learning/spiritual quest with more of an emphasis on eastern philosophy, as it came before christianity, and is also VERY similar to christianity. Unfortunately the bible has far too many valuable, MISSING information.

@runnerjoe2324 Brother of course the time of Jesus was not the begining of man.

Before I was a Christian I did spend much time on eastern philosophies and it led me no where, I was always gaining knowledge but still searching for truth. If you have come to some of your conclusions from Zeitgeist I suggest you watch Zeitgeist refuted because Acharya S's sources were not credible. We believe Jesus was God in the flesh not another teacher. This is the big difference between gnosis and christianity

@WithOneAccord We are all God beings, b/c we were created by something; therefore we determine our spirituality. We have a choice: we can do LOVE with all good and no evil in it, or, we can do selfishness and pay a price (like many).Something that eastern religions explains that Christianity doesn't as much, is controlling the mind. The mind is everything; its what makes us our own angel, and our own demon. To control the mind, is to have complete control over any and all actions of one's self.

@runnerjoe2324 Brother this is the lie Satan told in the garden that we are all God beings. Not so. We are made in the image of God but we are not God beings. The problem is that man is not able to redeem himself by his own power because man fell into sin. Adam as a racial representative of the human race fell into sin and therefore severed a relationship with a Holy God who is unable to look upon sin. Man was unable to bridge this chasm but Jesus who was 100% God and 100% was able to do this.

@runnerjoe2324 Jesus Christ as the Last Adam has taken the punishment of the fallen human race and therefore redeemed this relationship between man and God. The problem with new age theology is that they believe man is essentially good. He can choose to do good or bad. However our estimation of what is good and bad is completely corrupted by our sin nature. We are all tarnished by sin and without a Saviour who fulfilled the requirements of a righteous God we are completely hopeless.

@runnerjoe2324 I used to try to control my mind with meditation when I was into buddhism and the new age but it just opened me up to demons, OBE's and astral projection. When I became saved and born again I got delivered from these things. We do also believe in controling the mind. We bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ Jesus. Satan said 'Ye shall be as gods'' but he is a liar and there is no truth in him. I pray the Holy Spirit will reveal Truth to you.

@WithOneAccord I'm not sure what book or verse of the bible it says this, but it mentions "one cannot love both God and money; he must love one and despise the other". Thats metaphor for "it is impossible to love anything or anyone if money is in the way". There r too many traps and illusions that are making it hard for people to COME BACK TO GOD. We naturally, if u will, drift away from God in our lifetimes, but it is us that have to journey back to him. Sometimes he finds us.

@WithOneAccord I agree about society: we live in such a convoluted world that its hard to distinguish what is good and bad, but that is up to the individual. It's actually quite simple,but there are some things that might make someone think twice. The core of where to start is MONEY. Profitting from your brothers and sisters is selfish, but christains have seemingly connected it to the bible, and have sort of 'justified' it over the years.

The Job 1&2 verses discussed earlier present the "sons of God" as coming before the LORD and Satan was among them.

Satan is one of the fallen angels among those present.

Job 38:7, a creation verse, says "When the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of God shouted for joy?"

How could Seth's sons be present at creation?

I'm not decieved just cos u say?

@RPM11111 The term "sons of God" refers to the people in the line of Seth,not angels.Its not conservatism,its fact.The people from Cains line were "sons of man".It wasn't fallen angels that mated with Seths( line of ) daughters ,it was Cains "sons of man". This is all a lie perpretrated by satan,don't fall for it.
