@alphadeltaroflcopter a quick Google search leads you to the Nine Inch Nails Wiki page for A Warm Place, scroll down a bit and it tells you that it means "touching him" in Latin.

@surfacingtacit Ohh I was just using google translate. Figured that was my best bet. Thanks! I'm going to guess that "touching him" is a reference to a "higher power". maybe? lol

@alphadeltaroflcopter I personally interpret "touching him" as being it touches his soul, it makes him feel something. The lyrics are deliberately ambiguous, but the whispered line "the best thing about life is knowing you put it together" to me makes the song seem like it's about looking back on your life and where you're at now. You could also interpret the lyrics as having a love element to them, both received and unrequited. It's so poetic you could grasp dozens of meanings from it.
