Shanny's a legend, and this November of 2012 I expect him getting inducted into the HOF...Tkachuk on the other hand was overrated.

Wow...I was looking for that one. Yes, a couple of teeth and lots of stitches and the Blues trailing. Shanny comes back, holds his sh*t together to score 2 and put the game on ice, then went looking for justice. Big Walt wanted none of it, knowing he was already on painkillers and numbed into insanity. Had to be the best game I ever saw at the old barn and I saw a LOT of games there. Shanny had me at "let's go"....wish the cheapskates that owned the Blues could have kept him...

@andrewborody Keith Tkachuk's nickname is Walt, or Walter, or Big Walt. At lease when he was with the Blues it was. The old time Rangers player was Walt Tzaczuk or something like that.

So the story goes something like this. Tkachuck high sticked Shanahan. Shanahan went into the locker for some ungodly amount of stitches, like 52 or something with his lip hanging off his face practically. At intermission Shanahan asked Kelly Chase how he looked and rumor has it Kelly Chase replied " More chics for Chaser." Shanahan then returns to the game, gets his 50th goal of the season and light up Tkachuk.

As I recall in the second period Walt caught Shanny with a high stick and knocked a tooth or two out and busted his lip. Shanny came back in the third, scored two goals, and then pummeled Walt. Was a great game.
