This one of many gravel trucks bringing in loads of gravel for the pad preparation for Aruba Petroleum's gas well operation near my home in Decatur, TX.

This road runs adjacent to my property, and is my neighbor's driveway to this house.

  • They may be unwelcome to you,but they are just doing their job, earning a living, putting food on the table for their family, not their fault they were sent there, and if you noitice the driver is driving slow, taking their time and not roaring through,Hats of to him or her!!

  • @smilie3232 This one is driving slow because he saw me out there videotaping him. That said, for the most part, the truckers that come by, most of them are respectful in the way they drive. I'd say the actual Aruba employees who drive the pick up trucks are the ones who drive around like they own the place.

  • They would be allowed to do this over our dead bodies in Australia. This land they are fracking for short term gain...10 even 20 years...is never going to regenerate...You cant drink gas, and when the price of food starts massivly increasing people will look back in horror at what mining companies in cahoots with government allowed to poison the land and water forever. And the mining companies will walk away with their billions and never look back.

There's a way to get something done.

  • @ArubaGreed

If it was your driveway before the trucks drove on it, then yes, they should definitely repair the road.

  • @derekdz The Aruba supervisor gave me his cell. Wanted me to call him any time I had problem with odor emissions instead of the TCEQ. When I called him, he said that it was 'always going to be that way, there was nothing he could do." TCEQ fined them $32K for emissions violations.

  • @derekdz The gravel driveway that leads to our home was not designed to carry the weight of these trucks. I shouldn't have to be buddy buddy with Aruba to fix what they damaged. They have reseeded my horse pasture they tore up 3 times. Still nothing grows. Maybe the ten thousand gallons of condensate they spilled all over it has something to do with it. Or was it the thousands of gallons of flowback?

  • @ArubaGreed

Agreed. I try my best to keep the residents pleased. They all have my personal number just in case they need something. I do feel like that's important.

  • Right. But just because Herb Wright signed the lease and dictated the terms does not give Aruba permission to act like assholes.

  • @ArubaGreed

"You actually need to see a video of the road to see that it's tore up?" - They can repair it too. Once it's made, doesn't mean they can't go back over it and smooth it out.

"100 truck trips back and forth on a road not designed for that weight doesn't do damage?" - How was the road not designed for these truckers?

"Didn't fix my road because I posted videos of them behaving badly." -It does pay to be buddy buddy with everyone. Is it your driveway that needs repair?

  • The water is contaminated, and so are more than 3 acres of property. I have plenty of tests to prove it. You have to pay taxes on 10 ac, but only get to use 6. Come take a look and make an offer. We paid $250K, have $100 in equity, and $50K in improvements invested. I'm all for raising the price of gas if it means not drilling for it 200 feet outside my front door.
