Another video from the "Center of the Southland": Buena Park. So after filming that bastard Fernando, I decided to find an ASL. So here's a (kinda) new Bridgeport Ranger, mounted on, of course--an Autocar ACX. OMG *extreme sarcasm* -__-

Anyway I managed to film it on two cul-de-sacs. In the second one I had put my camera away in order to try to catch up with him. And he opened his door and said that it was OK for me to film. Very laid back driver who even let me get a video of the hopper camera. And on a side note, this truck had the horn of a car.

There are no recycling bins in this city. They use a mixed waste program with separate greens. All waste is sorted at either CR&R Headquarters, or Republic Services (Disposal Services).

Comment, rate, etc.

Filming date November 11th, 2011
Filming location: Buena Park, CA.
Camera used: Canon FS10

If you want to use this video, or a still image, please ask permission PRIOR to doing so. Don't be a thief! Under most circumstances, I am quite reasonable.

  • idk why but i it seems to me that everytime i watch a PARK video, the bridgeports are more smoother than EDCO's

Great packer footage, and love the rotos and the belt on the grippers, i like the belts better than the rubber things on the grippers

great video, did you tell him about what went down with Fernando?

  • @TheTrashman97

Thanks. The Park division of EDCO never had 2nd gen Rotos. Which have a more slanted design. Usually 2nd gen Rotos tend to wobble around in the truck's claw.

I filmed this on the same day I filmed Fernando. So I couldn't really haha

  • I like how this guy runs it, really is the best way to go with a Bridgeport, slamming each cart twice because invariably there seems to be some little piece of trash that didn't leave the first time. He keeps stuff from spilling this way. Good solid grip on this truck too, wonder if that has to do with it having belted grippers or if its because it's just newer. Works much better than the ones here, of course that could also have something to do with the difference in carts

    Good post LOL sneeze

  • @Trashman242

LOL Thanks. Usually it's stuff stock to the bottom or a large piece of trash. Come to think of it, maybe it is because the truck's newer. Hasn't had enough wear and tear for the grippers to loosen up a bit.

  • @RainbowDisposal oh PC

  • @wmautoreach123

Compacted? What I meant was PC or Mac?

  • @r6man2

    Thanks r6

  • @legodude24652

LOL yep. In person the sound of it reminded me of a aircraft on a video game LOL

  • @legodude24652

That's a downside. But this truck does have a tight grip so I don't think many will fall in. Plus waste isn't as heavy as green waste.
