Shogun proved not only to be a great fighter, but also a very intelligent fighter and modest man.
Machida's loss is the result of mistakes on a spiritual level. He did at least 2 fatal mistakes:
1. Named karate - Machida karate. An emphasis on footwork doesn't give you a right to hijack a stile developed by much greater masters then you are.
2. In the prefight intrvw on May 5?, he said, that victory is in his hands, and showed his fists. Ask Fedor, he knows, the victory is in G-d's hands.
