To Hell with this Senate Healthcare Bill !

You cannot reform healthcare by cementing the status quo. This is a HUGE sell-out to Big Insurance and Big Pharma, and will SOLVE nothing. You cannot arrive at a compromise when not all options were placed on the table to start with, which is precisely what happened. This is political kabuki theatre at it's best. Most Americans have been completely mislead by BOTH parties. KILL THE BILL !!!

Personally, I think the people have lost all manner of power to influence what goes on in Washington and lost it in the 2000 election. They don't care about our votes, the machines are rigged. The only way to make Washington and Corp America take notice is hit them with a stop shopping day..or a no shopping/ no work day, across the nation, all on the same day. Other wise we are at the mercy of lobbyist and big corp.

@Boomer1949: I agree - but it will take longer than a day or week of non-cooperation for it to have any impact whatsoever. But how many people are willing to risk their already unsecure jobs, while millions are unemployed? Not many, including myself. This is why unions used be so important, but they have been crushed and/or co-opted. This will not end well.

@Boomer1949 This group called the Guardians of the Free Republic, have a couple of new videos out (before the news of the mailings) posted here on YT. Their called "Restore America Counter Punch" They talk about sending out the mailings and give hints of what is in the 9 page document but refuse to tell all. They swear they have military backing..etc. I'd say it was a crock but who knows.

@55ella2007k It's true, I too would be a little hesitant to follow such a plan unless I really knew and trusted that it was a national movement.

I came across something interesting today though. As you have heard I'm sure, Governors in 30 states received a step down or be removed letter this last week. Seem a group calling themselves Guardians of the Free Republic are behind this and it looks to me like they might be a real thing, with a plan.

@AlphaHorizon : yes, exactly - you hit the nail on the head. People here in the US have been so brainwashed, that they now believe, that this bill represents Socialism. Yeah...it's socialism alright, namely welfare for the corporations - and thus the exact opposite of socialism. And yes, America will find out the hard way, but by that time, it will be too late, I'm afraid.
