A brightness enhancing film, installed in the majority of LCD TVs and monitors, is a significant component of 3M's business. Faced with a threat from alternative technologies, we worked on a strategy to persuade LCD manufacturers to continue to use 3M on the basis of energy efficiency.
Featuring a family of energy efficient TVs in a 'virtual world', this successful integrated digital campaign video was aimed at lobbying Euro MPs to approve legislation making the display of energy efficiency obligatory at point of sale.
The web design of http://www.ee-tv.org, the email marketing, and campaign video influenced consumer opinion and communicated the environmental benefits of 3M's product over the manufacturing costs.
