@gauchoheavy Maybe because the antenna is only 1300mm long, and he's using it on the 80 Meter band, the super short antenna results in a 99% power loss. He might be using an antenna like this as an attenuator.
There is something I don't understand. If antenna and transmission line losses are measured in dB, these are proportional to the power used. So, lets say you have 500 mW input. A very pesimistic estimation would be to consider it as 250 mW output (50% efficiency). How you can loss more than 99% of your power? I don't get it.
