It killed me a little, too, and I suspect that because it was "unknown," (who would give a rat's ass about some sort of shoyu), it was considered trash. And I know Tammy would've enjoyed the comparing like I have. (Finally recalled the "American" brand I grew up with; it's "La Choy," and still on the shelves. Kinda like brown battery acid...
Floor is done. I finished the final washdown/cleanup of the grout yesterday, and I love it. It's AS I wanted it. Video will follow.

@anmoose I think I died a little inside when I heard about it. I wonder if they toss things or if they get to take it home? I hope they can take it home. I mean it didn't cost a whole hell of a lot of money, it was just that I wanted you guys to see what I was talking about--how different it is from the stuff on the mainland. How is the floor coming along?
This came out so good!! Eating a piece of chicken right now! :) my roommate loves it too! had to go without some ingredients though. (broke recent college grad.. :-/ #VCU! Lol) but still came out very good!! Thank you!

@AshleyFD26 I'm trying to load my Spam fried rice recipe right now!! I am having bad connection issues, however. It stalled and died on me. The wind is very fierce here today so it is killing my connectino, I guess
