JOE BARTON, WHERE'S THE BILL - PART 1

Congressman Barton pointing out that the current bill is missing 300 pages and asks if they can actually vote on a bill that is not present. This is just like the trillion of the TARP bill. The biggest spending bill in history and no one bothers to read it.
I still go back to that conversation in civics class where I asked if it were POSSIBLE for Congress to sign our country over and I was told it was next to impossible because it would take the entire Congress not being able to read the bill or not doing it and then the President signing it on top of that...

This should be in the mainstream news, to show how dysfunctional our government has become.

If this wasn't so serious, it would be funny.

A copy of the amendment, as required by law, was not available in the House Chamber. During Mr. Barton's questioning the 300 pages showed up, but they were not yet ,inserted in the 1000+ page document. The 300 page amendment would only make sense (and I use the word 'sense' loosely) if the individual pages were inserted into the appropriate places in the document.
