Tonight: Speak Out Against Mayor Kiss's Veto of Thoughtful Climate Legislation!!!

By unilaterally obstructing democracy Bob Kiss has shown creating a cozy home to greenwash corporate mega-polluters is more important to him than representing the Burlington voters who put him in power.

Mayor Kiss' veto of these purely advisory community standards regarding a controversial deal which no longer exists represents a serious breakdown in our local democracy.

The Mayor's own Vermont Progressive Party's State Committee voted unanimously to support this purely advisory resolution. Most of the Burlington statehouse delegation wrote an open letter supporting this resolution. The resolution's two sponsor comprise every single member of the Mayor's party on City Council, and every single Burlingtonian who's spoken at City Council over the last 8.5 months supported this resolution or wished it went further.
