@Gyphia Yea back then they were seen as almost a comedy act, same with freddie and the dreamers were in the early 1960s.
Perhaps time makes songs sound better than they sounded first time around, its probably the memories associated with the music..

The only act who performs like this these days is 'Jedward'. At the time 'Racey' were the equivalent of Jedward to us 'serious rock fans' and we treated them with similar distain.
Nowadays, I quite like this song :).

any music from the mid 70s to thr late 80s is bettewr then any crap you hear nowadays thank you for who ever puts these songs on you'r a champion and not the champion you put in you'r car lol.
