YOUR COMMENTS WILL BE POSTED AFTER REVIEW - so please comment (once!) on this Toyota Commercial that uses a 1994-ish Buick Roadmaster Station Wagon as the punchline. Sadly. Of course I would rather have a 1996 LT1 woodie than that boring crossover featured in the commercial! Note: I'm pretty sure they painted it that green color for the commercial... and they took out the back passenger window in order to accomodate the kid's final dive. The aluminum collector's edition wheels made me think it was a '96, but then those E.T. side view mirrors make me think its like a '94... hmmm. (thanks dsbusgeek) Though they whited out the buick logo on the wheels certainly because they were disparaging the car... bastards... I SAY LETS RACE THE TWO CARS!!

  • Hey...how do I get my rear ROADMASTER window to go down that far?

  • @hawaiiIivin - in order to get the the rear window to go down that far, you have to pay the show car company and prop stylist to remove the window for you... : )

  • That Roadmaster is about 1000 times cooler than the Highlander.

  • He won't be laughing when Billy's dad challenges his mom to a drag race.

  • @BoChev Just a small little side note.for the record I Own a few 93 and 96 Chevy wagons same as the buick in the ad I have 7 of these cars, However I also own a Highlander and two Celica Supras the joke here is the politics of this commercial.

I thought I would Encourage you to check out the Prices that Japanese folks will Pay to buy an Olds, Buick, Chevy, and don't look at the Cadillac wanted section. it might make you cry. we buy a non US car on Price they buy for Desire. Hmmm ??

  • i would take the wagon any day over the toyota.

  • @BoCheval You have never drove a Roadmaster with a LT1 have you? I bet you have never drove a Highlander either. In fact I bet you are not even old enough to drive.

  • Are you serious?! Most of you are saying they would prefer a shitty '94 Buick Roadmaster (the shameful plywood edition!) to a brand new Highlander!! What's wrong with you? As i read different posts concerning different cars i realize that american people are totally convinced that america is building the greatest cars in the universe!... Haha! Sorry, it makes me laugh. Everybody around the world knows that american cars are pieces of shit exept people who live in america! I laugh again!!!!!!

  • I'm currently looking for a Caprice, Roadmaster Estate, Custom Cruiser Wagon right now. Have a 6.2 Diesel ready to be paired to the 700R4. Trying for 30 mpg while hauling my wife, 2 kids and myself at 70 mph. Found a few and they're in my targeted price range of @ $1k-$1200! Have @ $2k in a conversion wagon that gets 30 mpg would be sweet!

  • It seems Toyota is the international car of the dickhead.

  • I get compliments all over the place with my Roadmaster. I've never seen anyone get excited about a minivan or a crossover. You wanna blend in and be a NOBODY, yeah get a Toyota crossover.

  • I'd like to see that Toyota haul a stack of 4 x 8 sheets of plywood and keep them dry while hauling 2 passengers in seatbelts and pulling a 5,000 trailer.

  • @counterclockwise123 In the valley where I live we have maybe 10 or 11 Roadmasters running around. One of them has over 520,000 miles. The transmission was just done but the engine has never been opened up. Everything works, including the AC. Mine just passed 300,000 miles and same story, except the trans has never been messed with either. Mine's a 96. In 1997 it was ROLLED in deep snow (not by me) which caused less than 300.00 damage. Driving careful I can hit 30 mpg highway.

  • You can pull a heavy trailer with the roadmaster and get it worked on in any corner garage in the country, the drivetrain is bulletproof and it has far more class than a yuppie SUV
