Very funny ad! We've switched from Genesis to "Power Shop" a few days ago and it'll save us between $15 to $20 per month. That's over $200 a year for one phone call so we're pretty chuffed. :)
The great joke is Greenpeace's main office in Holland uses French nuclear power to power it's offices and international email campaigns. Why ? Because Holland's wind factories aren't reliable, and Holland knows that nuclear power is the cleanest and safest power in the world. That's why they buy it year in year out. And Greenpeace just loves it's reliability.
The best poker Coupon Code I´ve found in the last couple of months is definitely NOLUCK for CDPoker com! I got an extra $ 600 for my first deposit! Poker is so much more enjoyable these days, there´s basically no risk!
Im enviromentaly conscience.I use steel shot when I shoot the bloody Pukeko's during gamebird season. But really.Hydro or Geothermal is the way to go,or,how about some lights getting turned off around the place in some of these massive buildings in Auckland at night? But they can use the money that they have already robbed from us to do it.
Ok... I'm all for stopping climate change but how are we supposed to generate energy in a reliable, environmentally friendly way? Wind power is only reliable 35% of the time, hydro destroys a river's eco-system, solar is inefficient and cost's an absolute f-load to build and there are hardly any geo-thermal sites available for development because you would upset the locals. That only really leaves us with tidal power... now that is a hazard to shipping and also cost's an f-load to build.
wind is reliable if you build it over a large area. Eg. if its not blowing in palmerston north, then it is almost always blowing somewhere else like te waka that can pick up the absense of palmy.
Wake up NZ, whose going to be whining when our earth is polluted and power is the least of our worries!! Pull your head out of your ass and see the sun while you still can! Check what Greenpeace dose for NZ and any other environmental issue that deserves there attention. We will see what happens when the time saving luxuries (that i enjoy to) are gone and burning coal may have just contributed to speeding that up. Wake up because without the sun the trees don't grow. Etc etc etc
PART III Solar water heating is available at around $5k-$8k over usual setups - yet I don't see many builders or developers putting it in, although there are definite benefits to be had (such as reduced electricity use and hence lower demand and bill). Why? Coz they are being tight just like everyone else around - because that $5k or what ever will come directly out of the bottom line, an expense that can easily be avoided. So if you are out to point fingers, why don't you find root cause first?
