Pardus is one of the few distros that will not let you set up your wifi. It forces you to install to hd. For that reason I won't be trying it. This is the biggest let down of all the distros I have tried. I look forward to the next one where it might allow you to install your wifi...

I think in future you should find another way to record your desktop becuase that process is clearly eating all of your resources.. Pardus flies on my Desktop with Quad Core, It also flies on my Netbook which has an Atom and ION graphics, It also flies on my old HP laptop which is 1.8GHZ dual core with Nvida Graphics and 2GB of ram..

I'm not surprised it took that long for you, everything you do seems to take an age.. I mean, it took you a mammoth 7 minutes to get through the initial setup screen!!! That takes me all of 3 seconds.

Sorry, not my experience at all, took 17 minutes in my VM.. You must have some shitty computer there or something not setup correctly.
I couldn't find Banshee when I searched but I get just over 4000 apps for download when l look. Apparently it is important to run the updater intermediately after installing as this also affects the number of apps seen in the package manager. I have recently dropped Ubuntu and am very happy with Pardus.

Sorry for all the posts but can you describe what spec you have allocated to your virtual machine? You should have it set to at least 256 on graphics and 512-1GB of ram.

@fatriff My single core machine with 128 graphics simply was not enough, but Pardus looked good.
