This is my quick video review for the latest nVidia 9800GT gpu. I have yet to see any `user-based` reviews on here and took a chance when ordering it, so I thought that I`d post my results. I apologise right now for the video quality as it`s absolutely dire, but I had to convert my initial video online to get it to run.

Thankyou to all who watch/listen to this review and I hope that it helps you to make up your minds if trying to figure out what gpu to get in replacement for your older models.

AMD 5200+ cpu dual 2.7 gig

  • @burchified Depending on what you want to play. I like playing max settings on newer games @1080p +. 9800gt is still a fine mid range card, but it can't compete with the newer ones. It all depends on what you're after, but saying a $300 video card is more than any game needs is a flat out lie. It's needed for a lot of newer games, and even some older games. Crysis 1 is still a system killer 4 years later.

  • @Droogie128 Final Fantasy Tactics has some crappy graphics and gave me over 150 hours of pure fun. My point is, there are much better things to spend your money on.

  • @burchified. It's a great game and very hardware demanding. Hell, even good old Crysis is a tortured test, even on new hardware. Bottom line is, a lot of games need a lot more nowadays. I'm running a gtx470 @825mhz, and an i7930 @4.2 ghz.... these kinds of games stress my limits. The 9800gt was great bang for the Buck for its day, but it is really going to struggle in some of the newer PC dedicated titles if you want to Max settings.

  • @Droogie128 I have no desire to play that game.

  • @burchified Try running Metro 2033 maxed on this card @1080p with PhysX on. That's why :P

  • I got this card for $40 to replace my old (same) one. I can run any game that I have at max graphics with no lag. Why spend $300 on a card thats way more than any game needs?

  • hey i got mine for 30 bucks man they go for 70 minimum too

  • @leshorte nice find dude, i got the 1gb version for 120, i spent 30 bucks more than you but i dont feel robbed at all, it is a great card, not rediculously amazing but i think priced far below its performance. i dont have a lot of money and im a pretty casual gamer, this card is more than i could have asked for, plus i have a 360, so im set

  • LOL yea dude i got this graphics card free from this website watch?v=mxl89vBi0H4

  • @Usul573

    I got $90 for the 1gb version :D
