@oc175 check out our WSS show from this year, the drill is much more exciting and might be to your liking.

visually it wasnt very exciting, but thats just drill choice. you have a very big band and you all blended very well together. a couple of you sets almost gave me that awish feeling i get from pro marching bands. one of the better sounding shows ive seen, but again i felt a tid bit bored with all the holds and clusters. Solid performance though.

@dvd77612 in response to you Tuba question, yes we generally march about 14 tubas, however all of our tubas are in very poor condition, and some are unplayable, also out of our 14 people playing sousaphone, at this point 3 had been playing low brass for less than 2 years, and only about 3 or 4 would actually play or take the marching seriously...it is unfortunate to have such a large low brass (especially sousaphone) section and get such a low sound quality out of them :(

210 is a big size. Dont worry, i completely understand the issues that big bands have. We also have a good amount of people that do not take things seriously, but i feel that deep down they do care, haha. It's really unfortunate that your district doesnt back you in your endeavors though, you could be a great competitive band. Again, we sort of have that problem too, haha. Man i'm jealous of your tuba line.
1. How many people do you have?
2. With a tuba line like that i expected to hear a lot more bass.
3. Why don't you guys compete? You're definitely a AAAA size band, and i think it would be great to compete against you. (I'm from Penn-Trafford btw.)
4. Fun fact. The Penn-Trafford band has 182 performing members, and ONE tuba.
5. Search "Penn-Trafford High School Marching Band Norwin Band Festival 2009" and comment on what you think.

Our band has about 210. I wish we were a competative band, but I can't see that happening anytime soon. Many of our members don't take the band seriously, and it isn't a big priority to the district either. Still, we usually have a pretty good show every year.
