  • I am so sorry, I need some help. I can seem to get it to move. what is that button you press at 2:21 ? I'm a beginner using AAE CS 5. I hope you can help me. thanks.

  • @ariaSTORM to bring up the position, hit P on your keyboard.

To add a keyframe, there is a little box all the way to the left of your timeline on your layer->position that you can click to manually add a keyframe. Likewise, if you just move to the moment in the timeline where you are going to change the keyframe and move your layer, a keyframe should add.

To move the layer just click and drag (I usually hold shift so it stays on the same y-axis).

    Hope that helps!

  • my view is totally different I downloaded the trial, and i cant change the size of text or background color

  • @17yvette04 at the top, there should be a 'Window' option where 'File, Edit, Composition, etc.' are located. Click 'Window' then go to Workspace, and you can change the kind of workspace you are looking at. You can also make sure 'Character' is checked.

  • very helpful..i'm extremely new to after effects...but, i got all the texts moving the way i want it..but how did you get the text to look the way it did in your example? like..the texture and lighting? my project just looks like white, moving fonts :)) kinda lame...how do you apply the blur and textures? ...if you can't make a video..can you point me in the right direction?
