  • I'm pretty sure in this case it is a Sea Hawk not a Black Hawk. Same helicopter, different armed forces branch.

  • @gfalcetano Hey mate, it's Black Hawks. Do some research before posting, IE watch my other videos, and you'll get the idea that I fly them! I kinda know what I'm talk'n about ;-)

  • @ClearedToLand7 -Lighten up on the kids & FNGs,Ozzie "mate". It wasn't immediately clear that you were landing an AUSTRALIAN Blackhawk on a U.S. vessel. All your vids are good ones, appreciate you sharing. Cheers from the V-4 Division (Fuel) ("purpleshirts" to you) flight deck fueling crew USS TARAWA (LHA-1) precursor to the larger LHD WASP class that includes USS BOXER (LHD-4) ;)

  • @bladerunnerkw Sorry I wasn't meant to be offensive to him. I changed the title to make it clearer. I can see where I went wrong. :-( We also called the purple shirts "grapes" which you do to??? We also introducted them all to the "wiggles" especially the blue shirts who had to stand at the tail shaking their fingers like the wiggles do. Thanks for watching bud!

  • cleared to land7 so u saying u one of the black hawk kid ppl can go to the ship and take video of the helicopters

  • probably on an open day? I can't comment on that one because I'm not in the marines.

  • love it

  • @oilman1971 harriers get launched there 2 the way they land on gators are vertically. since we dont have arresting gear and our flight deck is way smaller than cvn's are. but this ship is bigger by 20 ft comparred to mine a lha-5 the last of the tarawa class.

  • Hey mate, Aus Army. I am one of the lucky ones that gets to fly the Black Hawk. :-)

  • It's mostly used for helicopter ops, but it's also for harrier jump jets as well. Your right it's not a carrier in the strictist sense because it doesn't have lauch/recovery with the cat and wires.
