You commented about how you don't drop frames with your recording from Xbox. I'm pretty sure you can do the same thing by recording the output from your computer's graphics card and audio.

@hildegain The only problem is that I use two computers. One for recording console games/media PC and another for playing PC games and recording PC games on. They are in separate rooms. In order for me to use the same set up, I would need a ridiculously long (and expensive) HDMI cable.

@KhadBanks Yeah I don't have that problem, I have all of my stuff in pretty much the same place. As for recording PC games, framerate drops are dependent on the software, Fraps as an example takes a chunk from your cpu, other apps might be more dependent on hard drive speed.
