Skateboarding Banned In Lake George

In the Village of Lake George, New York skateboarding has a bad rep. City officials and Peace Officer patrols say that skateboarding is not allowed on city sidewalks or city streets. In this video teenagers on vacation in the village get told to get off their skateboards or they will be taken away. The Peace Officer says that skateboarding is only allowed on upper Ottawa Street. However, the teenagers ask for directions and the officer refuses to help.

Honestly I lived in LG until I turned 18 (I'm 21), and can say most of the peace officers are pretty chill in the summer. Obviously if you're being dicks to them, you're more likely to get them pissed off and have them yell at you, but most really don't care what you're doing, as long as you aren't bothering other people. You could've skated anywhere in the village but chose to skate right in front of the visitor's center, which was a stupid idea. It's a safety concern for little kids/tourists.

At first they were skating the incline in front of the Peace Officer station, not knowing it was a Peace Officer Station. The Peace Officer in this video asked them to skate somewhere else - so they did. He then followed them and told them to leave. Afterward they leave and go back to skate that same night. However, instead they were skating at the park. A different Peace Officer chased them down. There wasn't anybody even in the park that would get hit.

i live in lake george dude. the spot ur at here, its basically dead. we locals killed it to nothing left. the peace cops should be gone this summer.
