An observatory and a communications tower, it was built in 1958 and thus far, 150 million people have visited this 333 meters (1091 ft) tall gargantuan structure. The tower broadcasts radio and television signals for stations such as the media giant Tokyo Broadcasting Systems (TBS). It has two observatory: the main and the special. For 860 yen ($9) you can go to the main observatory which is a much bigger area with a club that plays live bands. For an additional 600 yen ($6) you can go farther up to the special observatory, which is a little smaller in space but the view is well worth it! Tokyo looks massive from up above. Endless sea of glittering lights and skyscrapers!
