  • Informative video. My poor dog has just been diagnosed with kennel cough. Turns out he caught it while being boarded at his vet. I did take him to be seen and he was given a couple of prescriptions for it.

  • Thanks so much for the great video! My retriever started exhibiting the symptoms of kennel cough about 4 days ago, which surprised me because he had the vaccine last February, nearly a year ago. However I didn't realize that they are supposed to have it every 6 months! The only exposure he has had to other dogs was at a dog park and the symptoms showed up 7 days after being there. He's not lethargic and he's eating so I'm going to take the wait and see approach. Thanks again!

  • Would an ozone refresher help during the infection?

  • Thank you so much. I rescue dogs that are about to be euthanized and have run in to quite a problem as one of 14 dogs pulled has kennel cough. I had to board him as he is so large and he is supposed to be going in to a rescue in another state. i am very worried about this huge great dane/lab because he now has kennel cough and it is very cold in his dog run at the vets. They have him on antibiotics. i am hoping he will recover in time to make transport to Montana. Thank you for your video.

  • my dog has been coughing and im worried ! my other dogs arent coughing any thing i can do to help him out ?

  • My dog gets bordetella in every 6 months, boards rarely, and she sometimes coughs like I saw on other videos here where dogs showed kennel cough. Should I worry? She is 2 yo.

  • this was exactly the info I needed. Saved me a $100 trip to the vet!

  • I wonder how come you have so little rate on youtube? why people don't listen to you? We'll come back in 1-2 weeks, and hopefully what you said will reveal itself as the truth. :) This way we'll get people to rate you well... :) Thank you, Doctor Brammeier.

  • thank you for your notes... we very appreciate it. Noone elsewhere gives us the assurance that this is not as dangerous as much as it seems. You are a truely vet doctor. Where are you located? We're in Phoenix, AZ. :)
