Maybe you're not aware that there are other operating systems?
He's using Ubuntu, which is a Linux distribution.
You can tell he's not using Windows by looking at the widgets all over IE's interface. Even the save dialog differs from what you get on XP. Looks outdated, but that doesn't stop the validation program from running properly on something it wasn't designed to run on.
Next time get your facts right.

Well... He uses wine. A small Windows-like Enviroment for Linux which allows you to run Windows-Software under Linux. Wine doesn't need original Windows binaries. It's licenced under LGPL and WGA-Check just verifies that wine is no ripped Microsoft Software.

Dude there is a way to explain this. Microsoft knows you are Running Ubuntu it Scans your windows operating system for Genuine. It's not a bug itz Efficent Scan
