Download a YouTube Video

Here's the answer to another frequently asked question about YouTube: How do I download a video from YouTube onto my computer?
This neat little website (http://vixy.net/)not only downloads the files, but it converts it from FLV to AVI and several other formats. It may not be perfect, but it does the job nicely when it's working.

@Bawbiedoll101 Yes, I had a lot of trouble with Vixy too. I haven't used it in a long time and since then YouTube has really changed. So I don't know if Vixy works at all anymore. The last successful YouTube downloads I did were using FireFox's download helper.

I don't know what to tell you.

@RockerWolf100 No arguement here! I'm not disagreeing with Bawbiedoll101 either. Though it initally did work for me, I've had trouble using Vixy from the very beginning.

I haven't downloaded from YouTube in a long time and at this time, I honestly don't know what works and what doesn't anymore.

The point of leaving my Vixy video online is that it still shows the basic steps needed by many download sites.
