Well it is actually as easy as it looks! took me 5 minutes to remove and re-install!
I didn't have the plastic tool, so I used a thin flat screwdriver (and pulled slowly and carefully!) it worked perfectly without damaging anything.
FYI: my car is a '06 Fusion SEL, 6CD changer, and the 4 screws are 7mm and not 8mm. (somewhat not important detail)
Thanks again for the video!

Hi boblizcou just wanted to say thanks again for all the help. I ended up fixing the radio by removing it, opening it up and removing a stuck cd. Works like new. Take care.

boblizcou, thanks so much for the quick response. Right before my last comment, I disconnected the negative terminal on the battery for about 2 hours. when I started the car, I could hear the changer spinning, but it doesnt recognize any of the discs (I have 3 of the 6 slots filled) and reads "no disc. I cant even load a new cd, it just reads "load error" and wont accept the disc. It will not eject the discs either.

@mikecic144 Before thinking of repair, disconnect the battery one more time for several minutes and reconnect. This can reset the changer and bring it back to working.

Hello. I have a 2006 Ford Fusion SEL 2.3 and the radio will not play any CD. Do you have a DIY tutorial on how to repair this problem?

Great thank you. Any idea where I can get the pry tool/similar tool for the job?

@mikecic144 Most auto part stores.

I thought it might be an anti theft thing that required the radio code to be put in, but apparently these cars dont use radio codes. Im hoping to remove the radio and see whats going on with the changer. Any other ideas? If I get a replacement radio, I wont need to reprogram it to work with the car (steering wheel controls, etc?) Thanks so much again! I really appreciate it

@mikecic144 No codes or reprogramming needed. I have no more guesses with a Ford CD changer. Most we don't look at here in the shop, there is a lack of support for repair.
