Competition: Another Contributor to the Effect of Media Violence on Aggression -
This study examines the effects of competition as a possible contributor to levels of aggression. We hypothesize that competition, regardless of the presence of violence in media, will lead to levels of aggression. More specifically, both violent and non-violent competitive video games should lead to aggression due to the element of competition. With a lesser degree of competition, levels of aggression, as a result of playing video games, should not be as evident.
