i always found that kinda funny and made me wonder whatever happened to the real kite,balmung, and orca, i hope they make a new anime or something explaining more on em unless .hack//link does...really hope it gets translated.

hmm this series has been very hit-and-miss with me in terms of my opinions of it. which .hack is the starting, and what is the order. I get the feeling that some of what ive watched (.hack//twilight and .hack//quantum) are just fluff made after the real series. can anyone confirm or deny this?

almost all .hack are tied together in some way or another but if im not mistaken if you want to start from the begging then you would want to read the .hack//AI Buster Novel first because it starts before just about everything else...if im wrong sorry because i haven't read and watched all .hack however im pretty sure that it comes before the rest seeing as it starts before and during the events of //sign and explains the origins of balmung and orca.

@zaberfang1990 Actually they appeared in 2 bonus episodes of .hack//Sign at the very end. One is Japanese only. Where they all meet up for a drink, showing that they are not the same people yet look similar in char design

@vinny8589 I just started watching this anime, but I've played the games. For anyone who doesn't know, the gold guy (whom I'm assuming you're talking about) is Piros. I believe in this one it's Piros the 3rd.

Shino isn't Blackrose because Shino's name in Real-life is Shino Nanao while Blackrose's name in real life is Akira Hayami. Plus, the ages they are in The World and The World R:2 wouldn't add up.
