@Ma3lst0rm No actually without the government people would indeed stop being fed. That's why human society created governments, because societies are better off socailly and financially if they are governed. If you would like to see what it's like to have no government, have a look at the Democratic Republic of Congo (formally Zaire) one of the poorest and least governed countries in the world.

LLORT3 no dear the opposition to Socialized Medicine is driven by our great affection for a little thing called FREEDOM! racism is always the first thing to come into a racist's mind.
-
i think the main reason for opposition to a public option is racism
-
LLORT3, in America we could care less about your opinion.

stephen hawking, world reknowned physicist, said that he would not be alive if the NHS didn't exist

That is something he can not know no more than individuals can say with any certainty that if public welfare did not exist that they would not. It isn't as if the world would stop functioning without government largess or that people would stop being treated or fed.

we have single payer in canada and i love it
very responsive system
i think the main reason for opposition in usa is that blacks and mexicans would benefit

So it all boils down to race for you? Maybe it is the Canadian education system not the Health care that we should fear. We here in America value liberty which means we get to make choices about our lives whether the government likes them or not.
