I've been tinkering with an R/C Rocket/Jet Car for 2 years, and have tons of footage. The chassis is from an old Team Trinity Pro Stock car; for electronics, just a receiver and servo. For power...1st pass- D12...2nd and 3rd- E9's.

I think this is the closest we'll see on youtube to RC Rocket Cars built for DRAG RACING . . .

GUYS- IF YOU HAVE VIDEOS OF SIMILAR CARS, PLS UPLOAD THEM... I'D LOVE TO SEE! Enjoy!

**10-3-2009 Update: Car has been out of commission for a while and is itching to see some road/track time. If you live on Long Island and know of a good stretch of road, or parking lot, let me know!***

  • i think sum1 shud get an N4000 high speed sport class model rocket engine and stick it on the back of a homemade rc dragster, trust me, the engine puts out about 16.5k newtons in the impulse, make the dragster long and medium weight

  • haha, thats just insane!!! I dont think I have the guts to control something that small going that fast! I do have some engines that I'd like to use, but need to find the time again to rebuild and play around. My objective with this was to build a 1/10 scale car that would be able to complete on a 1/10 scale 1/4 mile (132 feet). Now, I just need to find a track close enough to NY...

  • Thank you for the comment...I appreciate your attention

  • SWEET! whare do you get those?

  • Hey! I built it myself- a VERY simple task- I have not run the car in a few years but plan to dust it off and give the viewers a nice show!

  • does anyone know where to buy a parachute like this one from

  • hi

can anyone tell me where i could buy one from

  • Nice Man! I'm working on somthin myself. Do I need to take out anything like a restrictor or anything? like so it goes farther with less resistance?

  • I have a offroad buggy me and my mate are currently rebuilding to take 3 commercial estes rockets to launch it, and then we have one large homemade rocket that should give 30 seconds with 3.5 kilos of thrust. We are going to run in at the local saltlake used by RC plane guys... Hopefully it will be weather for it in the next 3 - 6 months

  • Nice job, ive tried this before and it is extremely hard to do right, you should show us how you positioned the rocket, if you could that would be great
