What SasuSaku means is that she finds it ironic that an black person is representing the democratic party because of the democrats historical role with black and slavery. Of course, perhaps out of compensation, most heavy left democrats (liberals) insist on ridiculous amounts of political correctness. Personally I think that this is an act made out of guilt to distract from the parties racist history.

@ThatNerdfighter What SasuSaku means is that in the civil war pre civil war era of America, southern democrats and most northern democrats were pro-slavery and anti- black. The Republicans were one of the first parties created that were anti slavery, and they actually helped push many black rights laws through congress. Of course, they as well as the democrats were still largely racist, which is why it took about 100 years after the emancipation proclamation for blacks/hispanics etc to gain full
