On Saturday, July 26, the Human Rights Campaign held a stuffy dinner auction and fundraiser at the Westin St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco. In a show of solidarity with trans folks, the local LGBT community threw a "Left Out Street Party" for everyone who got left out of the HRC's Employment Non-Discrimination Act.

  • Thanks for taking the time to respond, rosbergs3. I don't believe any of us - including gender-conforming LGB folks - are really progressing unless we're moving forward together and not leaving anyone behind. And the party was outside the hotel on purpose, because it was also a protest. The HRC needs to be called to task - until they speak WITH all of us, they don't speak FOR any of us.

  • Gender confusion and sexual orientation are different things. Trans people need to GTFO out of the gay rights movement and gay community. Now everyone thinks lesbians want to be dudes and gay guys are cross-dressers thanks to the stupid LGBT label. Get rid of the T!

  • Thank you Chris Jackson and Claire Bohman for your hard work. Oh, and thank you Gabriel Haaland, and Dennis Herrera, and the Brass Liberation Orchestra.

  • thanks for standing out there supporting the T in the glbt community me and a friend of mine where talking recently about this

  • This is so fucking beautiful. I'm so proud to be a part of this movement.

  • Veyy interesting video!... EXACTLY the same issues are appearing here in the United Kingdom - please see my video on my profile "Stonewall was a Riot" after a protest was held in London outide the "Stonewall Awards"... a transphobic "LGB" event.

  • Castrointhestreets, this is by far the most inspiring video ever. I've often seen a lot of cases in LGB safe places where the T is always kinda like an after thought. I am a big activist, and I have fought for gay marriage rights and gender rights as well, with ease. It's so great to see LGB folk seeing us one as a family, and even straight people. We all are one family, and we're getting closer every day.

  • I love you, Karen!!!! The others have my support as well...

  • I think trans people should be apart of it.

Cause alotta them don't even have surgery so technically they are gay..but they ain't...i dont knoe.

But I knoe they deserve the same rights.
