Four times every summer about 100 craftsmen and artists display their work on the square. Items range from some of the nearly extinct handicrafts like Piloten (giant wooden post) driving, wooden pipe drilling, hand weaving and spinning to others that have stood through time or are becoming more popular again, like Kassettl (native costume) making, wood carving, Gamsbart (chamois hair) binding, tatting.
A wide range of real Tyrolean specialities. The local farmers will be showing their home grown products with the real natural taste of open farming and demonstrating the old fashion methods, not normaly used today, of preparing farm products such as sheeps wool and hand thrashing flax (called hacheln, brecheln, and datschn in old Tyrolean).
The market starts at 5.00 p.m. and ends at 9.00 p.m.
At 8.00 p.m. there is concert at the Kirchplatz by the famous Going-Brass-Band.
We are looking forward to see you and your family in Going with a warm Tyrolean welcome Grüß Gott.
