Talks between DPRK Premier and Lao PM Held

Pyongyang, August 30 (KCNA) -- Talks between Kim Yong Il, premier of the DPRK Cabinet, and Bouasone Bouphavanh, Prime Minister of the government of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, were held at the Mansudae Assembly Hall today. Present at the talks from the DPRK side were Ri Ryong Nam, minister of Foreign Trade, Ri Kyong Sik, minister of Agriculture, Kim Yong Il, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, and Ri Yong Sok, deputy chief secretary of the Cabinet, and from the Lao side were Minister of the Prime Minister's Office and Director of the Secretariat of the Government Cheuang Sombounkhanh, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Sitaheng Rasphone, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Phongsavath Boupha, Vice-Minister of Planning and Investment Bounthavy Sisouphanthong, Vice-Minister of Industry and Commerce Khemmani Pholsena and Lao Ambassador to the DPRK Chaleune Warinthrasak. At the talks both sides exchanged views on boosting the bilateral friendly and cooperative relations and matters of mutual concern. The talks proceeded in a friendly atmosphere.
