  • "It's Alive!"

  • Oh, and the name of their second album is not -of course - 1995 but Greedy! The songs we hear on this video are: Nightmare Snack Within A Mile Spell Sickfish Bellyup (all from the 1st album) and Cornered in a Barn Beat The Trees (from Greedy)
  • Vincent Guérin left the band, an other double bass player, Estelle Amsellem, joined the band then left it in 2006 I think, leaders and singers Tracey & Ewan Shiels formed a duo group named The Shiels with the one they play country, blues and other american musics along with trad and folk from England and Ireland covers along with personal compositions. The 1st album of The Shiels, Never Alone, was released in April 2007. Currently the 4th album of the Sons of the Desert is being finished!

  • That's a very long story! They released a 1st album in 1993(Cannibal hood, Carnival hat), then a second in 1995(1995), singers Tracey and Ewan Shiels got married, moved to France, double bass player Stephen Harrison, guitarist Johnny Nolan and violinist Joseph Doherty left the band, a drummer, Régïs Boulard and a new double bass player, Vincent Guérin joinet the band. The SotD released the 3rd album, Goodnight Noises Everywhere in 2002.

  • I used to go and watch this band down the elephant and castle on sunday lunchtimes in 89/90. I also used to See Lardy (Guitar) and Ewan busking down Nottinghill gate tube. What happened to them all?

  • A veeeeeeery POWERFULL mandolin and band! Enjoyed this very much!
