In Oct. '08 I was off and 'power snorkeling'in Maui using my spanking new Sealife EchoShot digiCam. The EchoShot takes both Hi-Res stills and Lo-Res (urrrgg) video. With some exceptions my 'best' close-up sea turtle encounters have occurred far from shore and hence beyond the reach of 95% of average snorkelers. At all times I was either on the surface or swimming along side the turtles (once they approached me!) at a depth of 3-10ft.
