Southern sounds just ok on this. some very important parts are missing. Woodwinds are FEATURED on most marches and I don't hear them at all. Certain parts of the melody are spotty. Somebody don't know their music

non musicians don't realize that if a band can play marches..THEY CAN PLAY ANYTHING. Marches are very technical and rudimentary. The ability to play marches will show your true skills as a band(GOOD and BAD)

good job juke. i can really appreciate the low tone of the percussion section.

@tallen87 actually he was the leader of a military brass band but wrote most of his marches like this one(over 300 of them) for wind ensemble as he was a master bassoon player. He wrote Thunder and Blazes(aka Entrance of the Gladiators) for wind ensembles. He did write a few brass only marches but this isn't one of them. And Southern does not sound GREAT on this BRASS or NOT.
