High-end color grading tools are available to everyone since Apple Color became a part of Final Cut Studio. This offers a new world of opportunities to add value to your video projects. The problem is that it can be intimidating to start out and results from dragging round the controls until the picture "looks right" can be wildly inconsistent.
In this webinar you will see how VFX artist Ben Brownlee approaches a real-world structured color grading session. Learn how to dissect colors and palettes, so that you can get the look you're after across an entire project. We will use the various rooms in Apple Color to work through the common stages of color correction and grading. See tricks that will help to focus the shot using Secondary color correction and help to tell the story you want using color. We will also be venturing into the ColorFX room, where there is a huge amount of untapped potential. During the process you will see two distinct grades, one suitable for primetime and a more stylized commercial look.
