@malcocreative - know what mean.....i was born mid 60,s and can remember taking over my big sisters record player(in a hard box,with hinged latchs,silver),and a lways looking for the plastic snap in thing.......

It's actually Charles Sherrell, as Odum had already left the band when this was recorded in late 1968. I think that the last hit that Odum played on was "I Got the Feelin'."

Either Bernard Odum or Charles Sherrell. I lean more toward Bernard Odum. Although they had similar styles when playing with James, there is still a distinct difference in their attack. You have to listen really close to feel and hear the difference.

@IkeDyson71 Like I said " and many others " This drummer was a guy named Nate Jones, he originally created this drum groove. James used a lot of drummers.
Just seeing the label on this 45 takes me back to another place and time. Was it a kinder, gentler time, or does it just seem that way now? These records were like a window into another world.
