3b)ID/creationism does not provide a counterpoint to natural selection; it merely points to complexities, and claims that they could not arise naturally. ID is 100% an argument from incredulity. Scientists patiently counter each claim with a reasonable model for each supposed 'improbable' feature, and thus nullify the claim. Ironically, the endpoint to each ID argument from incredulity - namely God - is infinitely improbable by the same ID standards, thus rendering the exercise moot.
