what is the main reason airplane are still super expensive to purchase? how long before the price drops rapidly and airplane become as cheap as an average used family car. i think its about time. when you think of the amount of materials used in the construction of these aircraft it certainly isnt expensive due to materials. is it mainly due to the lack of popularity? if GA aircraft were as popular as cars then im gussing the price would drop. i think the price will drop rapidly in future

@MrDKrider1 you have a PPL? (privat pilot licence) in germany you can start your PPL with 16, but you can fly with 17...
