I guess they made it drain in a circular pattern to keep the water speed somewhat under control and keep it from eroding the surrounding rocks and land as much as if it flowed straight?

Sorry to be a pain, but isn't this the spot that people sometimes go swimming? And...which side of the bridge is it on heading South out of town? I've been in PR for a little over 3 yrs and want to see some of the "scenic" spots - by car, but don't know where/how to find them. Any suggestions?

If I remember correctly you have 30 min to GTFO of the river from the first siren signal until they open the spillways on the dam. What a great place to swim in the summer!
