Oh mate where did you find this bugger?Mate i have never seen a deform head like this in my life.Good on you boys and i wonder if he was shot before because it is said that if they get injury last year they grow deform antlers the fallowing year.Safe hunting.

The sambar in my opinion is better to eat than red deer i eat it alot from jerky,cobbana,salami,curry,roa
st,snags , hamburgers,stews steaks,stirfrys any thing goes well, as long as you treat it as game meat should be.

Yes they are breeding up and in some places they are a problem to farmers and plantations. i have hunted the for 30 years and the numbers are on the increase even the fires and hunting pressure of an open all year season can not control the numbers.

That is a grouse malform fellas, so thick and good color. Do you think it is cross bred with a Red? Is that possible?

no red in the area that he was taken so i don't think it would be a cross breed just inter bred and old i think ?
