date: 1993
type: PC demo

You can get it at:

This is a little demo done by Triton. The word is that it was never supposed to be released, but Gravis was so excited about it that they published that without Triton's consent. If you run this demo, you can only hear the music if you have a Gravis Ultrasound card.

  • DOSBox can emulate a Gravis Ultrasound card.

I love the Jazz Jackrabbit-style MOD music. :)

  • Wow, I'm stuck with an SB 16 and AWE 32. This sounds better than even the AWE 64. Holy shit.

  • @Szederp I don't know about that, it's just Epic Megagames games almost always had tracker music instead of midi music. They also included special support for the Gravis Ultrasound which ended up sounding the best due to higher Output Frequency. I mean come on, who doesn't love this /watch?v=rhgn_9XQCa0&feature=related

  • @F2bnp "Kings of Gravis Ultrasound". Could you tell me a bt more? Did triton productions have anything to do with Epic Megagames? If so, could you elaborate on that for me please?

  • @SonicTheJackrabbit

    but is sucks :p

  • What's the name of the songs that plays during the demo (the second one)?

  • This sounds like something coming out of an Epic Megagames game :D. It's not weird too, since they were the kings of Gravis Ultrasound.

  • and what people should remember is the hardware mixing!!!!

  • very good.... but it doesn't run on my Gravis Ultrasound^^ .. why .. dont know!

  • @YouCantKillMrGOATSE More rather: Holy smokes.

  • I remember GUS from years ago. I had Amiga 500 at the time and my friend got a GUS to his 486, cost was something incredible and still Amiga tracked kicked as at the time =) Great memories from this post! Thanks!

  • From 0:35 sounds like Pinball Dreams! Also the instruments sounds like the one used in the Pinball Dreams intro
