Basara was a tailko group in Kyoto, Japan, who rehearsed at the top of Yoshida-yama. I studied taiko with Basara in 1999.
This is our performance of "Narushima", meaning "Roaring Island", at our concert in September 1999.

  • Craig! Of course I remember you! How are you doing? I've been immersing myself in Odaiko New England. I managed to come back to visit 2 year ago, only to find that our practice space has become a cafe. I miss Kyoto and Basara on top of Yoshida-yama, too!

My email is this username at gmail dot com, if you want to talk more.
